THE THIRD ACT

The human lifespan has increased almost 30 years beyond the lives our grandparents could expect. This third act, as Jane Fonda named it, is a whole new developmental phase, as distinct from middle age as teenagers are from early childhood...yet this new stage of life- of active wisdom, as Anthropologist Mary Catherine Bateson calls these years, isn't on the radar screen of either gerontologists or academics studying the human lifespan.

If you are healthy, decline is not your legacy, just because you are fortunate enough to be adding years!!
